Personal Counselling and Coaching Services
Our network of psychologists offer personal counselling and coaching to assist people to cope more effectively with a range of common problems experienced in their personal, family and working life.

Personal Counselling

People seek counselling to discuss problems that affect key aspects of their lives including their happiness, emotional well-being, self-esteem and confidence, quality of relationships or work performance.

The most common problems experienced by people seeking counselling include:
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Anger
• Stress
• Difficulties in personal relationships
• Alcohol and drug addiction

A psychologist can help you to gain a clearer understanding of your problems and identify coping strategies to help you achieve your goals and ultimately feel happier.

Our psychologists are qualified professionals who employ proven counselling techniques focussed on enhancing your personal growth and development.

We value you as an individual and are sensitive to issues of diversity in all areas of life. Our psychologists pride themselves on providing a professional, responsive and at all times respectful service.

Check out the Tip Sheets, Links to useful websites and Recommended Readings for further information on specific issues.

Personal Coaching

Personal Coaching aims to maximise your strengths and personal resources to set and achieve goals in virtually any aspect of life including business, career, family, health, relationships and personal growth.

The key difference between coaching and counselling is that coaching does not seek to resolve the deeper underlying issues that give rise to serious problems such as poor motivation, low self-esteem and poor job performance.

Coaching focuses on practical issues including how to set tangible goals and achieve results within a specific timeframe.

Objective feedback, perspective, encouragement and new ways of tackling situations are the key benefits of personal coaching.

Similar to the role of a coach in a sporting context, a personal coach is like having someone "running alongside you" in life, giving you vital input, insights and motivation to facilitate success.
